Teenage Fun

Alexis & Eve were playing dress up. They insisted we should go do a photo shoot. So we did and it was lots of fun!

Photography Mixer

Last weekend I attended a Photography Mixer. Josh Petersen held the event in his new studio area. Several aspiring photographers got together to learn some new techniques & information to help us get better as photographers. We practiced taking shots on Josh's white seamless. In the pictures of Josh, I was trying to learn the different lighting techniques. How'd I do?

We had super yummy food & a great time! I learned a lot. Can't wait until the next one. Thanks Josh @ PVM Photography!!! You can find him @ pvmphotography.wordpress.com/

Kids Shoot

Recently I decided to practice my photography skills, so I took the kids out to play. We had a lot of fun!

Jake & Julia

Last friday I was so lucky to go to the temple & see the sealing of our friends, Jake & Julia. After the sealing, we went outside & had a photo shoot. It was midday & the sun was blaring down hot, but everyone was willing to withstand the heat for a few minutes. They are such a fun couple! Love them. So, here's a little peek of some of the pictures we took. Enjoy!

Our Hike

While on our camp out for the weekend, we decided to take a hike on some railroad tracks. The last time we'd been camping there, we'd seen the tracks & had been dying to go walk on them & see what kind of scenery we could find. It was AWESOME!!! The kiddies got exhausted, but there was no turning back. We finally found a place that wasn't a cliff, so we could get them out. The kids went with Grandma & Grandpa while the adults continued on our way.

We walked for what seemed forever. It was gorgeous though. We found this bridge that was dated 1910. What an incredible structure for 100 years old. I would love to go back here someday & do a photo shoot in the water under the bridge. If only it wasn't so hard to get to.....

After what seemed like forever, we found a mountain side that wasn't a cliff. I made the suggestion that we should try to get out of there. We made it out just fine. I love the wonderful beautiful scenery Heavenly Father has provided for us. For a minute (or more) we were allowed to be where few people go. Lucky us!

Labor Day

We went camping this last weekend. It was mighty cold, but tons of fun. Of course, with Justin coming up with ideas, it could never be boring. Justin & Kyle had the brilliant idea to make a zip line. They used Kyle's winch on his outfit & hooked it to a high tree and brought it down to a lower tree. The kids & adults had a blast flying down the mountain side.
